What this covers: Plugging in your media player, powering it on, and getting your TV showing it. The media player is the Screenfluence device that drives what's on your screen.
Before you start: From the box you'll need the Digital Media Player, the Power Adapter, and the HDMI Cable.
Power the player
- Connect the Power Adapter to the media player, and plug the power cable into the wall outlet.
- The player turns on automatically — there's no power button. A blue and a red light on top of the case show it's powered on correctly.
- Once running, the blue display on the front of the player shows the time — that's normal operation.
- Unplugging the player is the only way to turn it off.
Connect to the TV
- Connect one end of the HDMI Cable to the media player.
- Connect the other end to any available HDMI input on your TV — most HDMI inputs are on the back of the TV.
- With your TV remote, switch the TV's input (often labeled Source or Input) to the HDMI port you used.
Tips & good to know
- Players connect by HDMI only, one player per screen. For a video wall, an HDMI matrix splits one player across screens — ask us about the setup.
- Note which HDMI number you plugged into (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, ...) — it saves hunting with the remote later.
Troubleshooting
- The TV shows "No signal": check the TV is on the same HDMI input the player is plugged into, and that both HDMI ends are firmly seated.
- No lights on the player: check the power connection at the player, and try another wall outlet.
- The front display reads "BOOT": the player hasn't started correctly — contact Screenfluence immediately at 1-844-772-7336.
